A good garden shed should make everyday life easier. Whether you need somewhere for tools and garden equipment, bikes and outdoor furniture, or simply want to reclaim some space in the garage, we’ll create a building that works for you.
Every Elfords shed is individually constructed using quality timber and proven joinery techniques, with the freedom to choose the dimensions, cladding and position of doors and windows. From homes in the heart of Denmead to properties around nearby Hambledon and Waterlooville, we’ll create a strong, attractive garden building designed around your space and built for years of dependable use.
A summer house gives you somewhere to enjoy your garden whatever you have in mind, from a quiet spot to unwind with a book to a dedicated space for hobbies or spending time with friends. At Elfords, each one is made to order, so the size, layout, windows and other details can all be tailored to your needs.
Designed to sit naturally within your outdoor space, our timber summer houses combine traditional craftsmanship with the flexibility of a bespoke build. The result is an attractive, practical addition to your Denmead home that you can enjoy for years to come.
When hobbies, tools or DIY projects have outgrown the spare corner of the garage, a dedicated garden workshop gives you room to spread out and get things done. Our heavy-duty timber workshops are built with substantial 75mm x 50mm framing, providing the strength and stability needed for regular use.
Because your workshop is made to order, you can plan the dimensions and layout around your equipment, storage and available garden space. Whether it’s for weekend projects, a practical trade workspace or somewhere to pursue a favourite hobby, you’ll have a robust timber building designed around the way you intend to use it.
Choose from our range of quality timber bespoke buildings, available in a variety of sizes and roof styles.
Pick from one of our four types of cladding, and personalise your building with optional extras such as extra windows, double or stable doors or a timber floor upgrade.
Manufactured in our Portsmouth workshop and expertly assembled by our team on site so you can enjoy a building built to your specifications and made to last.

Choosing a garden building from photographs alone isn’t always easy. At our Hilsea showroom, you can step inside different sheds, workshops and summer houses, get a feel for the space they provide and see the quality of our materials and construction up close.
Our team will be on hand to talk through what you’re looking for, explain the different options and answer any questions you have. If you’re planning a new garden building for your Denmead home, you’re welcome to visit us or give us a call first for friendly, practical advice.
Thinking about adding a new timber building to your Denmead garden? We’ve answered some of the practical questions that often come up before ordering. For anything we haven’t covered, our team is always happy to help so please call us on 023 9266 4811.
This depends largely on the season. During the quieter winter months, our lead time can be as little as two to three weeks, while the busier spring and summer period is typically around six to eight weeks.
We’ll confirm your delivery date once you’ve paid the 10% deposit and always aim to arrive when promised. Occasionally, severe weather such as high winds can affect installation, but otherwise you can expect us to keep to the agreed schedule.
Your shed, workshop or summer house needs a solid, completely level foundation to support it properly. Concrete and level paving slabs are both suitable options and will help prevent problems such as sticking doors or movement in the floor.
Although Elfords doesn’t undertake groundwork, we can recommend reliable local contractors if your garden needs a new base. We’re also happy to arrange a site visit if you’re uncertain whether an existing base is suitable.
Narrow side passages, tight corners, archways and access through the house don’t necessarily prevent you from having the garden building you want. Our team is accustomed to working with all kinds of properties and access arrangements.
Let us know about any potential difficulties when you order. If necessary, we can inspect the route beforehand and, because we manufacture our buildings ourselves, it may be possible to adapt individual sections to make access easier.
Yes. We’re a Registered Waste Carrier and can dismantle and responsibly dispose of your existing shed before your new building is installed.
Removal usually costs from around £120, although the exact price will depend on the building’s size and accessibility. You’ll just need to empty the shed of all its contents before our team arrives.
Most domestic sheds and garden buildings can be installed under permitted development rights, provided they meet the relevant requirements concerning factors such as height, size and position.
There can be additional restrictions for listed properties, conservation areas and certain locations. If you think these may affect your Denmead property, check the requirements with Winchester City Council before placing your order.
Regular treatment is one of the best ways to keep a timber building looking good and protect it from moisture, mould and the effects of the weather. We recommend applying a good-quality timber preservative shortly after installation and then treating the building annually.
You can also choose to have your new building dip-treated before it’s delivered.
Absolutely. Rather than restricting you to predetermined designs, we build each shed, workshop and summer house individually. Depending on the building you choose, options can include different doors, windows, shelving, cladding and other useful features.
This means you can decide what will work best for your garden and create a building suited to the way you intend to use it.
There’s no single price because our buildings come in many different sizes and specifications. Your choice of dimensions, cladding and optional extras will all influence the final cost, whether you need simple garden storage or a substantial workshop.
Our latest price list provides details of the available options, or you can visit the Hilsea showroom and talk through your requirements with our team. Delivery and professional assembly are included throughout our Hampshire and West Sussex catchment area.
Our sheds in Denmead range from compact buildings for everyday garden storage to larger bespoke sheds and heavy-duty workshops. The best choice depends on what you need to store, the space available and whether you’ll also be spending time working inside.
If you’re unsure about dimensions, our team can help you work out how much space you’ll realistically need. You can also compare different sizes in person at our showroom before deciding.
Yes. One of the advantages of choosing a made-to-order building is that you aren’t restricted to standard dimensions. This can be particularly useful for narrow gardens, awkward corners or spaces affected by existing boundaries and planting.
We’ll work with the available area to create a practical building that makes good use of your garden without forcing you to compromise with an unsuitable standard size.
